It is no secret that more and more people are storing up tactical equipment including firearms and ammunition. At the close of 2020, both firearms and ammo sales were at a record-breaking high. There are other tactical gear that may be close behind those record reports. If there is one thing that new tactical equipment owners need it’s the friendship and experience they can gain from others with like minds. It doesn’t matter what the reason for the purchase was, the fact that you and another person can bond and form what could be a lifetime friendship over tactical equipment and common goals is a beautiful thing. Keep in mind that people who are new to any area of guns or any equipment are looking for knowledge and information. These folks are hungry and want to be fed some hot how-to tips that educate them and inspire them too. These people want to know what types of ammo to use and what other people are using, where others go target shooting, what they hunt for and the list goes on and on. Having a friend who is there to help is a great aspect.
Other people who own a firearm already understand the reasons why people own guns and new gun owners feel comfortable around them for this reason alone. A small invitation of let’s go hunting on Tuesday or let’s go to the range a can go a long way in making a lifelong friend who has a common bond. Keep in mind that there may be another reason why I did not go out hunting, perhaps I don’t want to go alone and no one has asked me to go with them. If you hunt, ask a buddy or someone new if they would like to try it. That simple invite can go along way on so many levels. As a hunter, it is up to you to help inspire and support the new and next generation of hunters. Just remember that once you extend that arm in friendship, it is a life long support. Take that person under your wing and inspire them to learn and be there for them when they have questions. It’s important you don’t set them up to fail at something they really want to do. As we talk to most people who own tactical gear there is one thing that is an incentive for them, that is the desire and feeling of learning a new skill. For a hunter, this may be that you are able to provide your own meat and for someone else, it may be learning to polish their gun. All of these things regardless of how small they appear, are much better with friends and a sense of community.
